Why are promises broken?--->Promises are broken so that someone can come along and show you how to trust
Why do people change?--->People change for good and bad, but the only change you can control is within you
Why are hearts broken?--->Hearts are broken so they can become stronger, and so that one day you can recognize true love
Why do friendships end?--->Friendships end for one reason or another but, when old friendships end its the perfect time for a new one to begin.
Why don't we realize what we have til its gone?--->We are human, we get comfortable so we lose people and things in our life to help us to be grateful

GRATEFULNESS CHECK
Today has been a struggle to say the least. I was ranting and raving to my sister about all of my issues and how I couldn't do things anymore, she stopped me abruptly and started to name things I should be grateful for. Immediately my mood began to change and I began to calm down, then my very in tune sister gave me the challenge that by tomorrow I needed to have a list of 10 things I am grateful for and why. Not just a list but a thoughtful list. Here is the list of 10 things I am grateful for:
1-MY SISTER KENDRA- for always being there to wake me up when I am being selfish and in self-pity. Her willingness to listen to any of my stories or problems no matter what time of night and how stupid it may be. Cheering me on in all my efforts even when I don't think I can do it! Thanks for letting me always tag along when we were younger, and sacrificing your friend time and letting me come! It saved me:) Finally I love her outrageous and retarded voicemails that always make my day.
2-MY MOM-Though we may not always see eye to eye, she is there always having my best interests at heart. Loving me despite all my flaws, foolishness, and crap I put her through. Simply sending me a text saying"Just wanted to let you know how much I love you" at 11:00pm which is way past her bed time=) Sitting with me at work for 7 completely boring hours and not complaining. The songs she makes up that make no sense but always put a smile on my face. I love her hugs and its hard not getting those as often anymore since I live away from home. I m so glad she is only a phone call away, which we all say but I really am it brings home closer to me since I am down in Orem. Thank you mom for keeping me up on all the family news, you know how much I hate being out of the loop. Thanks for trying your hardest to make it possible for me to finish school and the unwavering support. I love you Mom
3-MY CAR- NEMO I am so glad for a car that can get me around everywhere and anywhere my heart desires and allowing me to help others in the process.
4- BEING LDS- I am grateful to the church and its awesome teachings full of hope, I am so grateful that I have the knowledge that one day I can live with my Heavenly Father and my family again, that even though I mess up it doesn't mean the end of things that I can repent, prayer-that I can pray and receive comfort and direction in my life, temples- how lucky I am to have not only 1 but 2 that are within about 20mins of where I live.
5- MY UNCLE KEVIN & AUNT ELAINE- For allowing me to live with them for about a month while I wait for my contract to begin. For feeding me, providing a bed, allowing me to stay out late, helping move all my stuff downstairs, and just talking to me and ask me what is going on my life. Oh and for putting up with me reading Breaking Dawn and my random ranting and outbursts about the book. Thanks for everything!!
6- FRIENDS- I am grateful to all my friends for putting up with my blondness, and me in general it takes a lot! Thanks for making me laugh, especially Kristen, Chris C, and Chris H----you 3 make my day more often than not. Thank you to My Boys back home who allow me the only girl left to hang out with them when I go home. To everyone else thanks for everything you do its appreciate, sorry if I don't always show it!
7- MUSIC- Thank you music for allowing me to express how I feel and being an intricate part of my life, a stress reliever(driving down the street blasting the music and singing at the top of my lungs) And for keeping me awake at work:)
8-FOOD- I love food and am grateful that it is so easily accessible to me to have all the time and that I don't have to starve and scrounge for it!!
9-BOOKS- For allowing me to escape reality for a few hours and letting my imagination go. Also for letting me learn so much that I wouldn't be able to learn otherwise.
10- MY BROTHERS & DAD- I love you all!! Thanks Kaydo for being my best friend growing up and being protective of me and watching out for me- I m so proud of you!! Dad thanks for providing all of us with more than the necessities and loving and supporting me unconditionally. Klancy & Klane I love you 2 pains!! I can't wait till you two are all grown up the 6 of us will have even more fun, thanks for calling me and wondering what I am up to for no reason at all. Kyle- Thanks for being the oldest and taking on that responsibility, thanks for being a pretty cool brother, I'll always remember when you took me to Wendy's for lunch just to talk and hang out with me.
I am grateful for much more than these things but these are the people and things that came to my mind! I can tell you that this is way more impacting than just making a list truly thinking about it makes all the difference in the world. =)

Boating at the MTC?
Okie dokie, where do I begin?? Life is a little bit more than crazy right now, but I love being busy so I really don't mind. Its always to better to be busy than to let your mind wander and make you crazy.
On Wednesday July 9th, was the toughest of days in a long while............My family a
nd I took my brother Kayden to the MTC. The day began with me waking up at 6am, so I could get ready and be able to meet my family at 8:30 am in Salt Lake so we could all go see the Joseph Smith movie. The main reason we were going to the movie was because Kayden had never seen it before. (It is so amazing and if you haven't had the opportunity to see it yet you should find one and go.) As usual my family was running late and didn't make it to Salt Lake til 8:50am ! We barely made the showing of the movie. As we exited the theater there was a sister missionary from Japan, who immediately asked my Dad, "You a cowboy??
You from Texas??" It was histerical! (for those of you who don't know my dad always wears a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and when in sunday dress a string tie!!) That surely boosted my Dad's ego and furthered his disillusionment that he is a cowboy. As we walked to the cars we had the ultimate decision to make, where to eat Kayden's last meal?? After a short disscussion, we decided to go to IHOP, but we only had an hour and half till he had to be at the MTC and at least a half hour travel to the IHOP in Orem. We rushed to IHOP for a quick brunch, Then we continued on to the MTC, it had been 7 years since we had taken my older brother Kyle there. All I can say I dislike the MTC drop off!! Kayden has been gone for nearly 3 weeks and he is doing so well, loving the MTC, Spanish and he just can't wait to get to Argentina!
Last week I went boating from the 22nd to the 25th up at Pineview Resevior up Odgen Canyon, with my neighbors Jina & Guy's family, it was a blast! Most of the time it was just me and my 4 children(Jina & Guy's kids) Lindsey 12, Sydney 11, Brady 9, and Kayley 7, I have babysat them for years and their whole family is like my 2nd family, so it isn't really weird for me to go on vacations with them. Kayley kept calling me mom the whole time, might as well have been I made sure they were dressed, sunscreened, made thier meals, fed, washed up, and had to keep track where they were at at all times. It was exhausting and I am still recovering from it all!! Last year I got so burnt, it blistered and I peeled for weeks, this year I got burnt and now its a sweet tan!! I was a little smarter this year and went outside more before I went boating for a week;)
Now I am moving into my uncles house, I never knew I had so much crap!!! Most of it I have inherited from my previous roommates who either gave it to me or left it when they moved and never took it when they came back! Lucky me is all I can say!!
Just a little list of what I have "inherited":
Broken Vaccum
Broom
Swifter Duster
Swifter Mop
Mop
Boxes of Food
Canned Food
Lots of food
Toaster
Beligum Waffle Iron
Sugar, Flour & Cookie Containers
Naked Man Poster
Reading Lamp
Iron
Ironing Board
Dart Board
A BIG box FULL of Cleaning Supplies
I think that is all.......I might find more as I clean but I just can't believe what they left behind but oh well more for me and I don't have to spend my money to get it!!! Now I m just going to be living with the relatives til end of August then I move in with Kristen and Monica at the Branbury!!!! Pretty stoked for it all!!

Three Days
Have you ever had one of those weeks that by Monday night you are wishing the week were over and done with, but next thing you know its only Wednesday, and it’s as if 3 weeks have gone by?? That is what it feels like right now for me. . . . . . .so many decisions to be made, so many people to help, and so little time to take it all in. I seriously wish with all my heart that no one would be hurting, money wasn't a constant issue, nothing unexpected never happened, and relationships were less complicated. That is not the case but every time you learn something new and are a stronger person through it all. Though while it’s happening, you can't realize the changes or impact you are having on someone.
Something very profound that stuck out to me while I was listening to a friend's homecoming in his talk he said "When life gives you lemons make lemonade, we have all heard that saying before but think about this, we all are given lemons but it is our choice what we make out of them, we can either let them rot, or we can choose to make them into something better and more than just lemons." I was just paraphrasing it and maybe its not even close to what he said but it has helped me survive this week. I just have to say that I am thankful for all those around me, for listening, giving me a hug or just asking simply how I am.

Changes and Experiences
Well here I go starting the blog. . . . . . .Lately I have had so much on my mind and these next 2 1/2 months are going to bring on a whirlwind of changes for me.
In 19 days my "lil" brother Kayden goes into the MTC for his mission to Argentina, he is one of my best friends!! We haven't ever been separated longer than 2 months!! I am only slightly traumatized by the fact that he will be gone in less than 3 weeks!!! Overall I am excited for him I know he'll be an excellent missionary! =) Also on the whole mission thing, nearly all my guy friends will be home within the next few weeks! I am so excited but also weirded out because it seems like just yesterday they were all leaving!! It brings back lots of memories from high school and my first year of college but that's for another post.
In roughly 40 days, I'll be moving in with my aunt and uncle temporarily between contracts at parkway and my new place at the Branbury. . . . I will be living with my aunt and uncle for about 3 weeks. They have all boys which is no big deal for me since I was basically raised with all brothers anyway, I have 3 younger ones. After that then I will move into the Branbury with Kristen and Monica, two of my best friends that I have met since I moved to Orem/Provo area. And then my 3rd roommate is Kristen's cousin Tally and I am excited to get to know her. I am beyond happy to be able to finally pick my roommates, it’s a new thing for me I usually just go for the random draw and hope it works out. . . . . . . . .but am beyond happy that I already know 2 out of my 3 roommates for in the fall!!
In about 63 days I am starting massage therapy school!!! I can't believe after 2+ years in college I am finally going to be done and in something completely different than I started out doing, though they are similar. . . . . . I started out in nursing and will graduate in May 2009 in massage therapy!! I can not even express how excited I am to finally be done with school and that there is an end in sight!! I know its going to be tough but I can do it!! So all you all better let me practice on you so I can be the best massage therapist ever!! Hopefully I don't have to twist too many arms ;)
I also had one of the most amazing experiences of my life last night, though I will not go into very much detail I will say this much I know that my Heavenly Father loves all of us so much, that the holy ghost is a key, and that the Church is true!!! I know it!!Well that is it for now, and now I am just going to wait and see what happens with everything that is going on in my life!!
